Royal HaskoningDHV to study LNG bunkering option for Port Louis

Royal HaskoningDHV said it has been appointed by Mauritius Ports Authority to carry out studies for Port Louis which include developing the port as an LNG bunkering hub.

Royal HaskoningDHV said it has been appointed by Mauritius Ports Authority to carry out studies for Port Louis which include developing the port as an LNG bunkering hub.

Under the contract, Royal HaskoningDHV is required to update the Port Masterplan of Port Louis. The work involves identifying new business opportunities for the port and forecasting cargo and traffic flows.

It includes the assessment of needs for extending and upgrading port infrastructure, and developing a land use plan for the next 25 years.

The studies, to be completed by August 2016, include developing Port Louis as a bunkering and petroleum/LNG hub, risk assessment and land use planning.
