Shipowner and operator, Swire Pacific Offshore Operations Ltd has taken delivery of its latest Platform Supply Vessel (PSV), Pacific Grackle in Japan.
The G Class series is the latest addition to Swire’s fleet. The delivery was on Thursday, September 17, 2015.

Pacific Grackle is the fourth of 10 vessels in the G Class series that Swire has commissioned Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) to build.
According to Marine Traffic data, the vessel is currently moored in Yokohama, where JMU has one of its shipyards.
Its sister vessels, Pacific Goldfinch, Pacific Gosling and Pacific Gannet and were delivered in March 2015, May 2015 and September 2014 respectively.
Swire says that these vessels, with a 4,000-tonne deadweight, are powered by a four-engine diesel electric propulsion plant and equipped with counter rotating azimuth thrusters ensuring fuel efficiency. These FiFi 1, DP2 vessels, with their high Environmental Regularity Number (ERN) are SPS Compliant, Clean Class and built LFL notation ready, to allow for future methanol carriage.
