Iran-Iraq ready pipeline draft deal

Iran and Iraq have finalized the development plan for construction of the gas pipeline to carry gas to Iraq’s city of Basra.

Iran and Iraq have finalized the development plan for construction of the gas pipeline to carry gas to Iraq’s city of Basra.

The contract is in the final stage of being drafted, Azizollah Ramezani , director for international affairs at the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said in a statement.

“ The Iraqi side has started the initial executive work too ,” Ramezani said adding that the contract executive phase for the export of 25 million cubic meters of gas to Basra will start after its signature.
