The world’s largest energy consumer, China imported 1.41 mt of LNG in August, down 11 percent as compared to the same month a year ago.
The country’s LNG imports were at 12.82 mt in the January-August period, a drop of 3.6 perent on year, according to General Administration of Customs data.
Pipeline gas imports were also down reaching 1.99 mt, a decline of 4 percent as compared to August in 2014.
