Novatek of Russia and NLMK Group have signed five-year natural gas supply contract.
The contracts envisage overall supply of 2.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas per annum starting from 1 January 2016 and fully cover the needs of all Russian entities of NLMK, Novatek said on Thursday.
Novatek is the operator of the Yamal LNG project that is expected to ship its first cargo of the chilled gas in 2017.
The giant LNG project located on Yamal Peninsula in Russia includes the construction of a 16 mtpa liquefaction plant which will be fed from the colossal South-Tambeyskoye field.
