Billionaire investor Carl Icahn has raised its stake in Houston-based LNG company Cheniere Energy to 12.07 percent.

This comes just days after Icahn earlier this week increased his stake in Cheniere to 11.43 percent.

Icahn now owns 28.5 million shares in the U.S. LNG player, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Cheniere stock rose by more than 3.5 percent, to US$50 on Thursday.
