A new North-east engineering firm has been launched by two Insch businessmen following a six-figure investment.
Engineering Solutions and Rental Limited (ESR), has been established by Stuart Mackie, Fabritech UK’s Managing Director, and Innes Smith, Engineering Manager, to meet the demand from clients in the energy, subsea and renewable sectors.
ESR directors Mackie and Smith have invested over half a million pounds in CNC machinery, tooling and software in order to establish the specialist firm.
According to ESR, the company was set up to allow manufacturing and fabrication firm, Fabritech UK, to continue its focus on fabrication contracts for major operators in the oil and gas industry.
The new company will focus on delivering a range of in-house design, engineering and project management services to the subsea, drilling and renewables sectors.
ESR director, Stuart Mackie , said: “We made the decision to diversify the services of Fabritech by opening an engineering firm to allow each company to focus solely on their specialisms in fabrication and engineering.”
ESR will initially operate from Fabritech’s headquarters, until the planned relocation to purpose built premises in Insch Business Park in 2016.
