LNG Hrvatska, the company established to build and operate the first Croatian LNG terminal on the island of Krk has extended the deadline for interested equity investors to submit their bids from December 15 to December 31.

The state-owned company made other changes also as it pushed back the date for bid submission from industrial investors to November 30, it said in a statement. The previous date was October 30.

LNG Hrvatska has recently received the location permit for the liquefied natural gas import terminal on the island of Krk in Omišalj.

The terminal, valued at €600 million has been declared a strategic investment project by the Croatian government.

The construction of the LNG facility is expected to start in mid-2016 with works to be completed within three years.
