The 152,300 cbm Seri Bakti is expected to depart soon with the first cargo of LNG from the Santos-operated US$18.5 billion GLNG project on Curtis Island off Gladstone.

MISC-operated tanker docked at the GLNG jetty on September 28. The first GLNG cargo will be delivered to South Korea’s Kogas.

The 7.8 mtpa LNG plant started producing the chilled gas from Train 1 in September. The second train is expected to be ready for start-up by the end of the year.

Australia’s Santos has a 30% interest in GLNG. Other co-venturers include Petronas (27.5%), Total (27.5%) and Kogas (15%).
