David Carroll, President of the International Gas Union met with Gazprom’s head Alexey Miller in St. Petersburg.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of the modern power industry, a statement by the Russian gas giant revealed.
It was pointed out that gas availability was a key component of the energy market development. In that context, the participants highlighted the importance of the timely implementation of emerging gas production, transmission, storage and supply projects.
In addition, the meeting stressed the need for expanding natural gas markets as well as eliminating the barriers hindering gas sales.
