The Seimas of Lithuania (Parliament) decided to return the amendments to the law on the liquefied natural gas terminal for improvement.
Following a vote, 43 ministers were in favour of the draft with two votes against and 54 abstained, a report on the Seimas’ website reveals.
The regulation required all users receiving natural gas from the Lithuanian gas transmission system to pay additional fees.
It was proposed that operational costs of the LNG terminal in Klaipeda would be shared among all the users in proportion to the benefits they receive.
