OpenHydro, an Irish-based tidal energy developer, has invited the delegates of the Ocean Energy Europe 2015 to visit its technical centre.

OpenHydro’s technical facility is located in Greenore, Louth County, Ireland. The 2,500 m² centre was opened in 2007, adjacent to Greenore Port, providing convenient access to sea transport.

OpenHydro, a DCNS company, specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of marine turbines generating renewable energy from tidal streams.

The complementary tour takes place on October 22, 2015, with the departure scheduled for 9.30 am.

The tour follows the ending of Ocean Energy Europe 2015 , a two-day conference taking place on October 20-21, in Dublin.

Ocean Energy Europe, a Brussels-based industry group representing the renewable ocean energy sector in Europe, is organizing the event with the support from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.

The event will feature high-level representatives from the industry and governments who will discuss the latest political, technological and financial developments in the ocean renewable energy sector.
