China Communications Construction Co. Ltd. (CCCC), a conglomerate engaged in the design/construction of transportation infrastructure, dredging and heavy machinery manufacturing business, recently won a $17 million contract for the Phase 1 of Runhe terminal in Taicang.

The contract for the construction of the new terminal was signed earlier in October by CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co.

Located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, the project involves construction of one 50,000t terminal berth with a length of 361 meters. The construction period for the project is 540 days.

When finished, the new terminal at Taicang Port, one of the fastest growing ports in China, will have annual capacity of 1.31 million tons.
