Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) has, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Petronas Floating LNG 1 Ltd (PFLL), subcontracted Alam Maritim Resources to perform offshore works of final positioning and mooring system hook-up on its floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project.

This is the second package deal Alam announced, after being awarded a RM49.0-million (approx. $13 million) PFLNG1 deal in June this year, scheduled to be completed by September 15, 2015.

The work scope includes flexible riser installation, precommissioning and commissioning of pipeline, pipe-line ends terminal (PLET) and riser from KAKG to FLNG for PETRONAS Floating LNG1 Project.

According to Alam, the duration for the subcontract works is from June 15, 2015 until April 30, 2016 with the award value of RM53.5 million ($12.5 million).

The 365 meters long PFLNG 1 facility will be moored 180km offshore Bintulu, Sarawak, operating in waters 200 meters deep and designed to last up to 20 years.
