The Oslo Fairway dredging project, undertaken by a Finnish dredging equipment manufacturer and contractor, Wasa Dredging, is currently underway.
The company has just released this beautiful photo from this dredging program, which shows their backhoe giant Hector during the deepening work.
About 89.000m³ of bedrock will be taken out from this area and dumped in Spro havn, Wasa said.
The Hector is working in the area with barges Jenna and Laura.
During this project, 27 different locations will be dredged, spreading over 25 km long fairway from Drøback to Oslo Indre havn.
