Bureau Veritas approves GTT’s Mark V tech

Bureau Veritas informed it has issued Design Approval for the new Mark V LNG membrane containment system designed by France’s GTT.

Bureau Veritas it informed has issued design approval for the new Mark V LNG membrane containment system designed by France’s GTT.

GTT recently received a similar approval from DNV-GL and Lloyd’s Register.

According to GTT, Mark V technology is an optimised version of the Mark III system.

Mark V technology is composed of double insulation with reinforced polyurethane foam and includes a nickel-steel alloy corrugated secondary membrane.
