CT Offshore signed an agreement to install 87 inter-array cables on DONG Energy’s Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm.

“It is a very important contract to sign for CT Offshore. We are proud to be the selected company for this important project. It is a huge recognition of our experienced crew both offshore and at the office, and it demonstrates that CT Offshore is well established and a recognised company within the array cable area for offshore wind farms,” says Jens Frederik Hansen , Chairman at CT Offshore.

The Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm will have a maximum capacity of 660MW and is located approx. 19 kilometres off the English West Coast, next to the 367.2MW Walney Offshore Wind Farm.

The work will begin in spring of 2017. The cable-laying vessel SIA will install the cables, and load out port is yet to be decided, the company wrote.
