Wasa Dredging, a Finnish dredging equipment manufacturer, is presenting its both existing and new models at Europort 2015 in Rotterdam (3-6 November).

At the event, the equipment and sales branch of the company will introduce two new models the BHD 28000 and BHD 48000 as well as the previous ones BHD 6000, BHD 8000, BHD 12000 and BHD 18000.

The BHD 48000 is one of the world’s biggest backhoe dredgers featuring a 48 m3 heavy-duty bucket, a 55 m3 light-duty bucket and a 800+ ton excavator.

“The BHD models are delivered as a complete package. They are equipped with Hitachi excavators, specially developed booms and arms of our own design, ” explained Daniel Backlund of Wasa Dredging.

According to him, the innovative double-winch system for controlling the spuds ensures smooth and safe stepping.

The Wasa BHD backhoe dredgers are accompanied by a range of SHB split barges, towed or self-propelled as the 940 m3 SHB 940, and the 2400 m3 SHB 2400.
