Norway’s AGR, a global oil and gas services company, will provide well construction and drilling operations support for the Cara Well, located in license area PL636 in the Norwegian part of the North Sea.

AGR said Monday it has been awarded an agreement with operator GDF SUEZ E&P Norge to deliver well construction and drilling operations for the Cara Well.

According to AGR, the planning phase for the project is already underway, drilling is planned for 3Q of 2016, and it is expected to last 53 days. The operational phase may be extended with an optional drill stem test which is part of the Scope of Work, AGR said.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Svein Sollund , said: “We are very excited about this award and look forward to the collaboration with GDF SUEZ E&P Norge.”

“Our Well Management team is ready to commence the work. We will apply our experience from 500 well projects globally of which more than 80 have been delivered on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.”
