Japan’s price of spot liquefied natural gas contracted in October averaged US$7.6 per mmBtu on DES basis.
This is a slight rise from the US$7.4 per mmBtu for spot LNG contracted in September, the information from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) reveals.
The average price of spot-LNG imported into Japan that arrived in October 2015 is US$7.9 per mmBtu, also rising from the September price that averaged US$7.7 per mmBtu.
Only spot LNG cargoes are taken into account in this assessments, excluding short, medium and long-term contract cargoes, as well as those linked to a particular price index.
