InterTradeIreland is setting up event that will cover Horizon 2020 second societal challenge research opportunities, including those in marine sector.

The event is aimed at end-users and researchers from across the island seeking to maximise their engagement in Horizon 2020 and explore the potential for North South collaboration.

Specific opportunities to be discussed include: marine, food, and agriculture.

According to InterTradeIreland, the delegates will hear about the supports available to them and have the opportunity to network and meet with potential cross-border partners.

Representatives from InterTradeIreland, the National Contact Point Network in Ireland and the Northern Ireland Horizon 2020 Contact Point Network will also be available to provide one-to-one support and advice.

The event will take place on December 1, 2015, at Westin Hotel in Dublin.

Horizon 2020 is the European Commission’s research and innovation funding programme.

InterTradeIreland is a trade and business development body funded by the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment, and the Department of Jobs Enterprise and Innovation in Ireland.
