During the month of October, Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi liquefaction project reached 25 percent completion, moving ahead of pace.
In its recent report filed to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Cheniere said the engineering has progressed to 90.3 percent while procurement has progressed to 34.6 percent.
Bechtel’s construction has progressed to 0.8 percent bringing the overall completion of the project to 25 percent against the planned 19.3 percent.
Engineering has focused on finishing out above ground piping isometrics for Train 2 and OSBL, continuing to update design for permanent plant buildings and Inlet Air Chilling (IAC).
Construction focused on progressing the permanent plant earthworks and temporary facilities site preparation.
In the month of October, Bechtel progressed the mudmat for the Train 1 cryo piperack and air coolers foundation, completed the mudmat for ethylene/methane foundation, progressed underground pipe installations at road crossings, and progressed formwork, rebar and embeds for the Train 1 compressor area propane mat, and continued installing rebar and concrete on electrical ductbanks, stands in the report.
