Claxton Engineering Services Ltd, a UK-based oil and gas engineering and service company, has formed a collaborative alliance with energy services firm LR Senergy.

The alliance has been formed to incorporate end-to-end offshore rig-based decommissioning services in its portfolio.

Nick Wood , VP commercial, Claxton, said, “ Combining Claxton’s decommissioning expertise with LR Senergy’s wealth of well engineering and project management capabilities will provide customers with access to a unique combination of experience and skill sets for all decommissioning scenarios .”

The two companies worked together in the past on a number of shared global projects including platform installations, drilling operations and field workover programmes.

By cooperating with LR Senergy, Claxton adds rig-based decommissioning solutions to its decommissioning service portfolio, which comprises platform, subsea, rigless and vessel based campaigns.

Chris Chilcott , subsea engineering manager – wells, LR Senergy, said, “By establishing this alliance, we can formalise this service offering to provide our customers with a range of fully managed, integrated decommissioning solutions.”
