ELA Container Offshore GmbH has delivered a 10ft (3m) Offshore Container solution for WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG that is equipped as a Mobile Rescue Container, the MEDICbox.

The solution called the MEDICbox is a mobile 10ft container, which provides an adequate alternative to flight solutions whenever medical care cannot be provided by helicopter.

Part of the WINDEAcare concept is a fully equipped rescue helicopter, which cannot be used in some cases, e.g. during bad weather conditions. Thus, the container solution has been developed as supplement by WINDEAcare partner companies to meet the need for a patient transport on an appropriate vessel, ELA explained.

“Using the MEDICbox on a suitable vessel, patients can be treated professionally on site and transported immediately,” said Caspar Spreter, Managing Director of WINDEA Offshore GmbH & Co. KG .

“The compact design ensures effective treatment in the container and only needs a small part of the vessel capacity,” Spreter added.
