A new company has been launched, bringing a platform system for repair and maintenance to the European offshore wind market.
QuikDeck® Europe BV, a newly set up company coming from the same stable as Sky-Access BV, is responsible for bringing the QuikDeck® system to Europe.
The new light weight platform system, has a 35kg/m 2 of own weight and a load capacity of up to 360kg/m². According to the company, the system can be installed quickly and easily, suspended on chains connected to the frame work of the nacelle offshore.
QuikDeck® Europe BV is looking into system’s applications within the offshore wind sector, saying that it can reduce both installation and O&M costs, and at the same time increase safety while working at height.
