Belgium’s Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas terminal is scheduled to receive a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar.

The 145,700 cbm Umm Bab LNG carrier departed from the Qatari port of Ras Laffan on November 30, and is set to dock at the Fluxys-operated terminal’s jetty on December 19, shipping data reveals.

Umm Bab LNG carrier was built by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in 2005 for Maran Gas Maritime, the gas shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group.

The Zeebrugge terminal that mostly imports liquefied natural gas from Qatar has an annual throughput capacity of nine billion cubic meters of natural gas.
