Swiber Holdings Limited, a Singapore-based EPCIC services company, and its joint venture partner Alam Maritim Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, have completed the offshore installation scope of work for the Petronas NC-3 gas field. The field is part of the SK 316 gas development project off Sarawak Malaysia.

Petronas Carigali awarded the NC-3 field development EPCIC project to TMJV (Technip – MMHE Joint Venture) in October, 2015. TMJV then subcontracted the offshore transportation and installation scope to Alam Swiber Sdn Bhd.

The scope of work was divided into two campaigns. The first campaign involved the transportation and installation of a Wellhead Platform Jacket and Topside, the launching and installation of a Central Process Platform Jacket and the installation of a link bridge between the two platforms. The offshore installation for Campaign 1 was carried out between March and May 2015.

The second campaign involved the installation by float-over of the CPP topside on the previously installed Jacket. This work was performed between September 8 – 13, 2015 while the actual mating of the topside was performed in less than 4 hours on September 12, 2015.

Swiber’s Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer Darren Yeo said: “ The successful installation of this project is a testament of the Group’s strong execution and reinforces Swiber’s track record in Transportation & Installation services in the Asia region.”
