UK’s Wood Group informed it has increased its onshore construction capabilities in the United States with the acquisition of Springboro, Ohio-based Kelchner.
The company will work under the Wood Group PSN Americas onshore business providing construction services to oil and gas sector in the Marcellus and Utica shale basins, Wood Group said in a statement on Monday.
Kelchner’s scope of work includes the provision of turnkey compressor and metering stations, civil work, fabrication, roustabout and well pad and roadway construction services.
CEO Todd Kelchner will continue to lead the existing management team, the statement reads.
