Ghanaian wave energy project kicks off

OpenHydro to deploy two 2 MW turbines in fall
Beginning of the year 2015, OpenHydro was planning to deploy two 2 MW tidal turbines in the Bay of Fundy, Canada in Q3 2015. However, the installation was later re-scheduled for the spring 2016.
France calls for tidal and wave projects
The French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) has opened a tender for tidal and wave energy projects. The call, consisting of three parts, aims to finance wave, marine and river tidal, and technology demonstration projects.
BlueTEC platform to float with double power
The BlueTEC Texel Tidal partnership announced plans of installing a second, larger turbine on the BlueTEC floating platform that has been successfully operating during its first months of deployment. Tocardo’s T2 turbine was mounted on the BlueTEC platform late in 2015.
