U.S. weekly offshore rig count rises to 25 active units

The weekly U.S. offshore rig count is up from last week, Baker Hughes has informed through its Weekly Rig Count reports.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. -2 to 698 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 698, with oil rigs down 2 to 536, and gas rigs are unchanged from last week, at 162.

U.S. Rig Count is down 1,113 rigs from last year at 1,811, with oil rigs down 946, gas rigs down 166, and miscellaneous rigs down 1. The U.S. Offshore rig count is 25, up 1 from last week, and down 30 rigs year over year.

Canadian Rig Count is down 43 rigs from last week to 83, with oil rigs down 32 to 12, and gas rigs down 11 to 71.

Canadian Rig Count is down 125 rigs from last year at 208, with oil rigs down 40, and gas rigs down 85.
