Fluxy-operated Zeebrugge LNG terminal is set to accommodate Golar LNG’s carrier, Golar Glacier, on Friday, January 8.
According to the shipping data, the 2014-built 162,000 cbm LNG carrier was anchored off Gibraltar until January 2, when it set off for Zeebrugge.
The vessel is set to load liquefied natural gas at Belgium’s terminal, but the shipping data does not reveal where the cargo will be heading for after it departs on January 10. However, it does reveal that the vessel will unload on February 1.
The Zeebrugge terminal facilities provide for loading and unloading LNG carriers, and according to Fluxys, more than 1,500 have already docked at the facility since it was commissioned in 1987.
The terminal will be able to receive more carriers at the second jetty that is set to be in operation from 2016 onwards.
