A2SEA is currently planning the installation of two foundations and two Siemens 4MW turbines on the Taiwanese project Formosa 1, scheduled to start in June 2016.

The foundations and turbines will be installed by M/V Torben, formerly known as Friedrich Ernestine. A2SEA is operating the vessel under a bareboat charter with a team of A2SEA crew.

Currently, the A2SEA project team is working on the installation preparations together with Swancor/Formosa Wind Power Co., Ltd, the developer of the wind farm.

A2SEA is also in contact with Siemens Wind Power, which is in charge of supplying and installing the turbines, as well as ZPMC, which was selected to supply and install the foundations.

The Formosa 1 Offshore Wind Farm is expected to deliver its first electricity by the end of 2016. The entire project consists of 32 turbines, with the second phase planned to be constructed in 2018/2019.
