London-based Lloyd’s Register joined forces with the Norwegian services company Aker Solutions through a framework agreement aimed to increase efficiency in engineering and subsea oil and gas developments.
Under the agreement, Aker Solutions gains access to LR’s services including, inspection, compliance, certification and advisory/consulting in areas like risk management/HSEQ, engineering dynamics, asset integrity, drilling, wells and reservoirs, Lloyd’s Register said in a statement on Monday.
Lloyd’s Register has already been called in to carry out the quality management system standard ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (environmental) certification of Aker Solution’s subsea division.
The agreement has a three-year term with a two-year extension option.
