Norwegian subsea player DeepOcean is reportedly letting go up to 90 of its workers as it adjusts to lower activity levels.
Switching its focus to renewables in the past few months hasn’t been enough to compensate the slowdown in the oil industry.
It is yet unclear who should go, however, general manager of DeepOcean`s North Sea operations, Ottar K. Mæland told Norwegian media that selection process is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this month.
Reportedly, the termination criteria will be according to competence, seniority, overall age structure in the company and social conditions.
