ETA, a UK-based subsea cable specialist, has formed a new division that will focus on the provision of marine cable connectors, terminations and accessories.
Following the participation in several projects such as Cape Sharp Tidal project in the Bay of Fundy, and Delta Stream tidal project in Ramsey Sound by providing connector and jointing solutions, ETA’s new division has been established in an effort to expand the market for its engineering solutions.
ETA’s work with tidal energy and other offshore renewables has led the company to develop and deliver connection systems, including subsea hubs, connectors, and cable joints, and according to ETA, the new division will continue to provide bespoke designs and at the same time develop production lines for larger scale projects.
It will also market related products such as power grounding units and cable recovery and repair tools.
Andrew Thomas , ETA Connect’s Managing Director who will head up the new division, said: “With this new division I am looking forward to working with customers and suppliers, old and new, to expand ETA’s capability and product range.”
ETA provides a range of products and services to the subsea industry which includes jointing and connector technology to address the specific needs of the renewable energy industry.
