Decmil Group informed on Tuesday it has been awarded an extension to its QCLNG wellsite installation services contract for QGC, a BG Group company.
The A$35 million deal is an extension to the existing framework contract with QGC and is held by Decmil’s unit Eastcoast Development Engineering, the company said in a filing to the stock exchange.
Under the contract extension, Decmil will continue to support QGC’s operations with wellhead construction, logistics, material management and a range of construction services through 2016.
BG Group started commercial operations at its second train at the QCLNG facility in November last year and expects to reach plateau production by mid-2016, producing enough LNG to load around ten vessels per month combined, which is equivalent to exporting around 8 million tonnes per year.
