Unitel wins FEED work for Kogas’ small-scale LNG plants

The world’s largestcorporate buyer of LNG,South Korea’s Kogas, hired Unitel Technologies to perform the front-end engineering and design (FEED) work on small-scale LNG plants network.

The world’s largest corporate buyer of LNG,South Korea’s Kogas, hired Unitel Technologies to perform the front-end engineering and design (FEED) work on small-scale LNG plants network.

According to Chul-Ho Lee, Director of the New Business Technology Division at Kogas-Tech , the company intends to build and operate multiple mini-facilities with a capacity of 200 tons per day of LNG in order to create a virtual pipeline through which it would provide LNG for local transportation and power generation.

Under the agreement, Unitel will implement design improvements in order to reduce capital and operational expenditure.

Kogas-Tech development team head, Hack-Eun Kim noted the company intends to optimize the refrigerant cycle and the overall dynamics of the system improving the flexibility and a wide turndown capability in order to meet changing demand requirements.
