Inpex Corporation of Japan on Friday signed a gas sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Nihonkai Gas.

Under the agreement, Inpex will deliver natural gas to Nihonkai Gas from its Naoetsu LNG terminal in Joetsu City.

Gas will be delivered through the Toyama Line, the natural gas trunk pipeline currently under construction, extending from Itoigawa City in Niigata Prefecture to Toyama City in Toyama Prefecture.

Gas deliveries are scheduled to start from October 2016 through the 103 km pipeline that is scheduled to commence operations in mid-2016.
