Wavepower Technologies, a private investor in the wave energy industry, is looking for wave energy professionals who would help the company deliver its aim of advancing the sector.

Glastonbury-based Wavepower is recruiting for various positions in order to build the team that would offer technical support for wave energy technology development.

The positions currently open are as follows:

As Modelling and Control Engineer , the selected candidate will be tasked with numerical modelling at different levels, assessing technical opportunities and contributing to Wavepower’s long-term WEC technology development activities.

Some of the key responsibilities of Naval Architect include developing and assessing WEC designs for performance in terms of power output, stability, integrity and survivability, assisting in developing installation, operation and maintenance procedures, and developing the mooring design, analysing it for survivability and assessing the impact on energy production.

Power systems – Balance of plant engineer will be responsible for various electrical infrastructure and Balance of Plant (BOP) activities to work towards the creation of a fully optimised wave farm.
