Deutsche Offshore Consult GmbH (DOC) has been actively supporting the construction of Vattenfall’s Sandbank offshore wind farm since late last year, the company reported.
Working on the project, DOC has been delivering services from developing a study of first lifting processes, over the optimal use of so-called Tack-Lines, to 3D models and storyboards for installation and loading operations of the installation vessel.
By using 3D models of the port, construction site, installation vessel MPI Adventure, as well as the crane and components, Vattenfall’s project team can plan the project schedule easier and more efficiently, DOC said. The lifting operations are realistically simulated taking into account the operating conditions.
