Bladt Industries upended the first transition piece for the Veja Mate offshore wind farm, weighing 293.5 tonnes.
As announced last summer, a joint venture between Bladt industries and EEW SPC won the contract for building foundations for the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm.
Bladt’s scope in the project is to build 67 transition pieces which have a diameter of up to 6.8 meters.
The Veja Mate offshore wind farm will consist of 67 Siemens 6MW turbines, installed some 95 kilometres to the northwest of German island Borkum. The project is scheduled to be operational in 2018.
