One of Nigeria LNG’s six production trains at the Bonny Island plant is currently undergoing maintenance.
Company’s spokesman Tony Okonedo told Reuters that maintenance began on January 25 and will be carried out over a period of 70 days ending in the first week of April, noting that there are no production challenges.
At full production, the Bonny Island facility’s six trains produce some 22 mtpa of liquefied natural gas, from about 3.5 bcf/d feedgas intake. It has supply deals in place with the likes of Repsol of Spain and BG Group. Additionally, the facility sells LNG cargoes on the spot market.
NLNG is a joint venture compromised of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC (49%), Shell (25.6%), Total (15%), and Eni (10.4%).
