New Zealand-based WASSP Ltd, an ENL Group Company, has introduced its new multibeam sounder the WASSP S3.

According to the company, the S3 is purpose built for the survey and mapping market, and it is shipped with WASSP software for 2D/3D mapping and polar view.

S3 features a new DRX digital/wideband hardware platform and is rated to IP53 running on 9-32 volts.

The S3 will be officially launched at the Oceanology International exhibition in London from March 15, 2016.

ENL Group managing director, Gareth Hodson , said: “The new S3 will be a complementary product to the already successful WASSP survey & mapping model WMB3250. Building on this success we believe the S3 platform and price point is one of the first to bridge the gap between multibeam and single beam technology in the professional market, that is our ultimate goal.”
