South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal in the United Kingdom is set to receive another cargo from Qatar next week.
The 263,000 cbm Q-Max carrier, Al Samriya, has loaded a cargo at Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG facilities and is scheduled to dock at South Hook terminal’s jetty on March 9.
This will be the second delivery of liquefied natural gas to South Hook in a period of three days.
Al Samriya was built by the South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and delivered to its owner Nakilat in 2009.
The South Hook terminal has the capacity to process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic metres of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
