The floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, has reached Ghana following a journey from Singapore.
The FPSO, which departed from Singapore on January 23, will be deployed at the Tullow-operated Tweneboa-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) offshore oil fields.
Converted from an oil tanker in Sembcorp Marine’s Singapore yard, the TEN FPSO is 340 metres long and has the capacity to process up to 80,000 barrels of oil per day from the TEN fields.
The FPSO is now expected to be connected to the risers and subsea infrastructure in approximately 1,500 meters water depth, with first oil expected between July and August 2016.
Tullow estimates that TEN average working interest production in 2016 will be around 23,000 bopd gross (net: 11,000 bopd).
