Nwakama Dredge Nigeria Limited has successfully completed construction of the largest cutter suction dredger ever made in Nigeria.

The new 18″/16″ dredger comes with a ladder length of 22 meters, crew living room with amenities, kitchen, spud pillars and inbuilt capacity to hold 33,000 liters of diesel.

At the moment, the CSD is receiving finishing touches at the Ascot Jetty in Port Harcourt, after which the CSD will be en route to Nembe, Bayelsa State for deployment in a massive land reclamation project.

Already a 14″/12″ cutter suction dredger made by Nwakama Dredge for the same owner has been working in the area.

The new dredger will be formally commissioned by the Nigerian Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry.
