Norway’s Reinertsen has been awarded a 5-year contract of VNG Norway for ‘Owner’s Engineering Services’ in connection with the development of subsea field Pil & Bue in the Norwegian Sea.

VNG Norway is a wholly owned exploration and production subsidiary of Verbundnetz Gas AG, an energy company based in Germany.

Reinertsen said it will partly work integrated with VNG organization in Stavanger and Oslo, and partly in its own offices. Reportedly, the contract covers all project phases from the early phase and until the planned start of Pil & Bue field.

Reinertsen will work as client’s right hand in connection with the establishment of the development concept and project and deliver engineering services related to subsea infrastructure, production vessels and platform modifications.

The contract will be managed from Reinertsen’s Subsea office Asker, but the head office in Trondheim will also be involved.

“The contract value is depending on the final concept and is therefore not determined at this time, but the company believes it will be a significant project in the longer term,” Reinertsen said in a press release.
