Aker Solutions is reducing management and other staff of its subsea business in Norway.
As many as 600 permanent positions at facilities in Fornebu, Moss, Tranby and Ågotnes may be affected. Workforce reductions will be made through normal employee turnover and redundancies.
Statoil has awarded Technip Norway a contract for marine operations at Hywind Scotland Pilot Park project.
Technip’s scope of work includes the transportation of substructures from Spain to Norway and preparations for the installation of top sections and generators. Technip will also be responsible for towing, mooring operations and connection of wind turbines off the coast of Scotland.
OneSubsea has signed two 5-year global frame agreements (GFA) with BP to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of subsea production systems (SPS) and subsea aftermarket services.
The agreements provide a framework for worldwide supply of SPS technology and subsea aftermarket services, including service personnel and rental equipment.
Danish offshore wind farm installation and services company A2SEA has decided to focus its business solely on installation of offshore foundations and turbines.
As a result, A2SEA’s cable installation subsidiary CT Offshore will not be taking on any more projects and, according to the company, all vessels and equipment will be sold.
OneSubsea has secured a contract from BP Exploration (Delta), and its partner DEA (Deutsche Erdoel AG), to supply subsea production systems for the West Nile Delta Giza/Fayoum and Raven fields, situated offshore Egypt.
The scope of supply for the gas fields includes large-bore subsea trees, manifold systems incorporating high-integrity pressure protection systems (HIPPS) for the Raven field, connection systems, and controls systems, along with project engineering, management and testing.
