Broadwater Parklands Dredging and Reclamation Works Complete

The Gold Coast City Council recently announced that the Broadwater Parklands Stage 3 is now officially opened to the public.

Stage 3 continues the master plan vision for Broadwater Parklands, with the addition of 3.5 hectares of land to the north of the Gold Coast Aquatic Center at Southport.

Neumann Contractors were engaged by the Gold Coast City Council to complete the dredging and reclamation works for the Broadwater Parklands Stage 3.

The dredging involved the maintenance dredging of approximately 100,000m³ from the Labrador Channel, Ray Newlyn Channel, Howards Access Channel, Loders Creek and basin area.

The dredging operation involved the use of the cutter suction dredges, Nu-Compact and Nu-Enterprise.
