Mermaid Subsea Services in Qatar, part of Mermaid Maritime, has secured an additional subsea cable installation and related diving services contract from Saipem.
The contract has an estimated value of USD 10 million and is scheduled for completion within three months.
According to the email received by Subsea World News, Mermaid secured a contract for the installation of umbilical and three flexibles plus one power cable, offshore Saudi Arabia.
The company will deploy chartered-in vessel ‘Mubarak Supporter’ to conduct the work, which starts in April 2016.
Mubarak Supporter is a DP2 construction barge with a length of 77.50 meters and a beam of 30.00 meters.
